What happens

This is a dramatic, AI-animated short depicting a tense marital relationship. A woman (To Ngoan) in a satin nightgown confronts her husband, Hoac Yen Thoi, a wealthy, cold-faced man who appears shirtless and injured with scratches on his chest in a luxury high-rise bedroom at night. Through Vietnamese subtitles, she questions whether he can get up, negotiates intimacy ('just once tonight'), and reflects that nothing matches her memory of his death, suggesting a rebirth plot. She tells him to leave, then watches him tenderly care for their sick young son, Tieu Bao, who has a bandaged head. She internally monologues about fearing this second life is a dream, recalling three years of marriage where she caused trouble yet he never abandoned her, realizing she has grown dependent on him. Later, he joins her in bed, comforting her as she sleeps, asking why she's upset. The next morning, an assistant informs him she met with Quy Van Chieu. The tone is melodramatic romance with themes of regret, rebirth, and complex intimacy.
