What happens
The video is a short AI-generated Chinese drama set in a drought-stricken rural village. A heavyset woman with braids, who communicates with a dog, lives with her muscular husband Yan Jin and extended family facing starvation. She secretly uses hidden wheat seeds to make steamed buns to feed the family, leading to accusations of theft from a neighbor. After family conflict and shame over her appearance, a system-like entity transports her to the modern world where she attempts to lose weight at a gym with a personal trainer. The narrative alternates between historical hardship—emphasizing hunger, sacrifice, and survival—and modern-day weight-loss efforts, with supernatural elements like a glowing fairy guide. The story concludes with her returning to help her family survive the famine, highlighting themes of sacrifice, body image, and time-travel assistance.
